How To Work The Tascam Recorder

The microphones are on the top of the recording device and should be aimed towards the audio you are aiming to record. The button with the red circle on is to record. You push this button once to begin recording. You realise that you are recording due to the fact the sound waves appear around the centre of the screen and move up and down when audio is picked up. After you have recorded the required audio you press the button with the white square on to end  the recording now if you press the play button (the button with the white triangle on) straight after you have finished recording you can hear the audio you have recorded. To select another piece of audio you have previously recorded you press one of the two arrow keys depending on if you want to scroll forwards or backwards and then press the play button to hear it. To hear the audio plugging in earphones is required. These are good to record with due to the fact they only pick up the sounds that it is aimed at, at a fairly close distance. As well as this very little background noise  is picked up.
